Tom.....not good news. De-powered, took out battery, re-booted pressing 'esc' key, no change. Machine whirls, hard drive light flashes, no video. Looking on YouTube preparing to open and take out battery saw how to use jumper to reset CMOS.....ventured that process.....same result.....maybe blew up some hardware with my reckless deleting of files.....not an expensive PC or any valuable data on it.......may have to give up.
Any other suggestions?

Hi Thaley615
Sorry the previous steps did not help.
Every component is integrated except for the RAM and the HDD.
You could reseat the RAM. You could check/reseat the HDD connections. A HDD failure would not prevent a Power on Self Test.
You could replace the external power supply.
Any other integrated component failure means replacing the motherboard.
It really sounds as if either the external power supply or the motherboard has failed. This failure is not related to removing operating system files.

Hi Tim
Was thinking about your problem and realized no one suggested checking the video cable connection to the monitor and the video out port at the back of your PC. Maybe one connection is loose.
Also check the power cable connection at both ends.

ThanK you Tom. Have checked power and video cable couple times as one post suggested powering down monitor to 'reset' it. Power light on monitor stays on and a 'no signal' message comes up and, when cord taken off, monitor displays message 'no cable connected' all leaving me to think that was not the problem.
As a long shot, based on your latest suggestion, I got another video cable and strung it over to a nearby tv with video capability and LOW AND BEHOLD, an HP image appeared!!....I then strung the same video cord to PC monitor and, low and behold, same image!!.....going to now reload bios and see if I am back in business. Will let you know.......
Thank you for sticking with this.............
