HP All-In-One Desktop 94V7F49
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I start up my desktop the following happens:

a. Preparing Automatic Repair

b. Diagnosing your computer

c. Blue screen, Automatic Repair (Your PC did not start correctly)

I'm then invited to choose between Restart or Advance Options. Have tried both but keep coming back to Automatic Repair. If I choose Advance options I can then choose:

a. Continue

b. Use a device

c. Use another operating system

d. Troubleshoot

e. Turn off your PC

Have tried most of these, keep coming back to Automatic Repair. Just prior to my PC reaching this point I was having problems downloading Windows Updates.

Looking for some guides, Regards: Col135

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

Thanks Mate,

Did all that you suggested and came up with:

a. Memory Check: Passed

Then did Hard Drive Quick Check and came up with:

a. Testing drive 1:

 SMART CHECK: Passed

 Short DST: Failed

All sounds/looks good, but being a retired Australian Infantry Soldier of 39 years haven't got a clue what it's all about.

Hi

Well it quite often generates a 24 character error code, which would tell me that the Hard Drive

IS FAILING / HAS FAILED

and needs replacing.

So make backups and recovery media.

I cannot match your PC.

So is there a better model number or description?

You need to SAVE any Data/Work that you can onto another device, and then replace the hard drive and re-install.
