I just bought a LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw printer, but the installer for the driver always crashes. I tried 3 different methods of installing the drivers: the installation CD, HP Smart Install (USB) and by downloading them online, but i keep getting the same error.
10-15 seconds after i start the driver installation, a Windows pop-up shows up, notifying me that:
"HP CSI Shell has stopped working".
I have called HP customer support, and they told me to post in the computer section of the Support Forums.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
I have an HP Media Center PC with Windows 7 64-bit.

Update:
I have tried the default windows "Add a Printer" feature in Control Panels, and my printer is finally functionnal - only when used wireless. However, If i connect my printer's USB cord, it will be recognized as a different printer, and will still unsuccessfully install the drivers for it.
If it works wirelessly, it's good enough for me.

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at

That's not a solution it is a workaround.
To make the software run correctly you need to install the prerequisites you can find on the CD, meaning dotnetfx351. It doesn't matter if you already have dotnet 4, the software needs dotnet 3.51 to run correctly.
