I have a HP M22f FHD monitor, everytime I turn it on it it says signal not found.  My computer has a 4060 rtx, I have checked the drivers, the bios, the cable, I have changed the native resolution yet nothing makes the monitor detect my PC.

The monitor worked one and never did again.

Hi @SebasGonza,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP M22f FHD monitor shows “Signal Not Found” and no longer detects your PC with an RTX 4060, even though it worked once before. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm the correct input source on the monitor
Use the monitor’s menu button to manually select the active input (HDMI or VGA).
Auto-source detection can fail and leave the monitor listening to the wrong port.

Power reset the monitor
Turn the monitor off and unplug the power cable from the monitor and wall outlet.
Wait 60 seconds, reconnect the power, then turn the monitor back on.

Test with a known-working video output
Connect the HP M22f to a different computer or laptop using the same cable.
This confirms whether the monitor can detect any video signal at all.

Test the PC with a different monitor
Connect another monitor or TV to the RTX 4060 using the same output port.
This helps determine whether the issue is with the GPU output or the HP monitor.

Check GPU output port and cable type
The HP M22f supports HDMI and VGA only.
If using DisplayPort from the RTX 4060, ensure you are using a known-good DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter that supports active conversion.

Force a low-resolution signal
Boot the PC with only the HP M22f connected.
While powering on, press Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B after Windows loads to refresh the video driver.

Check for sleep or standby lockup
Turn the PC completely off, unplug power for 30 seconds, then power it back on.
A failed wake or handshake can cause the monitor to stop detecting signal permanently until reset.

Inspect the HDMI/VGA port on the monitor
Look for bent pins, looseness, or debris in the port.
If the monitor worked once and never again, port failure is a possible cause.

I hope this helps.
