Purchased new packaged HP RX713a (Keyboard & Mouse) had it unpack for a while. While moving package box had open, however the USB receiver is now missing. I have old (original) keyboard and mouse with receiver (USB) currently using it.I atemped to use old USB with new Keyboard and mouse. It does not work. I replaced all batteries. I am a novice with computer what can I do. Try to research and I the more I searched the more I got confused. Model is HP TouchSmart IQ816 PC with 8.1 Windows.
Can someone help me out. I will greatly be apprecatd.

@bellaluna, welcome to the forum.
It is my understanding that the only receiver that works is the one that comes with the mouse and keyboard. Therefore, I don't believe that you will be able to get a new receiver. With that said, you can check HP Partsurfer to see if it shows any possibilities.
I lost the receiver to one of my Microsoft mice and it is now useless. They don't sell the receivers separately.
