HP Omen Obelisk Desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchase an HP Omen Obelisk Desktop Product Number 4NN05AA#ABL.  I am runnoing Windows 10 home, biuld 17134.  The Omen Command Centre ran fine until my system installed a number of updates recommended by the HP Support Assistance and Windows Update service, these applied to my system on Thusday March 11, 2019.

After the updates the Omen Command Centre would not start.  I do not get an error message, or any other warning from the app or otherwise.   I tried a system restore, tried to uninstall and reinstall the HP Omen drivers and the application.  I have tried instaling various HP softpacks (E.G. SP93236).  I have also tried to install the Omen Command Centre from the Microsoft Store.  The app will not start!

I contacted HP support and I have a copuple of outstanding support case #'s with them.  I had a HP techinician remote into my machine and spend around 1.5 hours trying to install, uninstall and reinstall various versions of the Omen Command Centre, in the end they gave up and told me they would investigate and provide me with a solution.   A couple of days later I received t a voice mail from HP Support.  Their solution was to ask me to ensure my machine had all current updates and to reinstall the Omen Command Cente from Windows Store again.  Which leaves me in the same situation I was at the start of all this.  However I do keep getting following error in the Event Viewer under the Application Log.

Does anybody have a solution for this issue, you assistance would be appreated.

Decide today  thatI have a little time to sit down and recover my operating system as suggested by HP Staff

Checked the Omen Command Centre and it did not launch.

Decided to run Windows Updates before recover process - it installed 2019-04 Cumulative Updated for Windows 10 1803 KB4493437

Reboot!  One more time 🙂

OMG the Omen Command Centre is now working.

The issue looks like isome component of KB4493437 has solve my issue.

Hope it stays this way now!
