I have an old HP Pavilion Media Center m7580n, that came with Windows XP - I have upgraded it to Vista Ultimate (64-bit). I would like to have it bacek to a very basic Windows XP Operating System, any suggestions? Do you think I can just buy a new XP License, or can I use my product key to aquire XP? I can not find any Revoery Discs. ANY help would be appreicated - thanks.

You're very welcome.
You should not have any issues with that, and your PC will probably run better because a 64 bit operating system requires more memory and disk space to run than a 32 bit OS does.
Since your PC can only take up to 4 GB of memory, there is no advantage to running a 64 bit operating system on it.

Hi:
This site still has them for sale...

On your post, you listed XP 64 bit but that model came with a 32 bit operating system from the factory (XP Media Center), and the only recovery disks available will be for XP Media Center 32 bit.

Paul,
Thank you so much for your your reply...you may be a life saver:).
I had upgraded to the Vista Ultimate (64-bit ) OS. do you think I will have any problems with going back to a 32-bit machine? This would actually be my preference.
Thanks again.
