Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

3 days out of warranty my HP Desktop crashed.  I finally found HP recovery tool (Microsoft Store would not download it!). I used the HP Recovery to create a USB recovery key and backup my files. I then managed to reinstall Windows 11. But when I used Restore to load the backup files to the computer, it loaded the Backup file into the Users folder.  How do I restore these files to the C: drive, or to where they were on the original configuration?
