After some hours of use, it starts freezing (details coming next). A random number of hours later, the freezing stops. The "freezing" specifically is a 20-40 second delay when forking a new process (including in running applications, like a new browser window). The simplest case is in an already-open command window, typing "cmd"; there's a 20-40 second pause before it starts, while this is happening. It's only THAT process affected -- other processes and applications work normally unless they try to fork too. If I reboot, all's fine for some number of hours (like 2-10 hours). It's only a month old.

HELP! Great PC other than this. I tried disabling McAfee, no improvement.

Did the freezing start after adding the additional memory modules?

 

Why are you using the Home version when you have 32 GB of memory installed?

Windows 11 Home may be the problem.

Search online and you should be able to find a reasonable price for Windows 11 Pro.
