Recently on my laptop (Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0xxx), i had to go into a Teams meeting and I noticed that my camera wasn't being detected. I decided to check in device manager to see if it was disabled by chance, but when i opened device manager, I couldn't find a camera driver anywhere. Opening the camera app, I was greeted with this error code:
I searched on the internet and tried the following things:
Turn on camera access in Privacy settings
Tried adding drivers via Device manager, only to end up with zero options for camera drivers.
Scanning for hardware changes in device manager
Update my Windows to the latest version.
Visiting the HP Software and Drivers site, only to find no camera drivers available to download.
After some research I found out my laptop might use a camera driver called "HP Wide Vision HD Camera". But I have no clue where i can get this driver, since I cannot get it on the HP Driver and Software download site.
Does anyone know a possible solution to this? Any help is greatly appreciated. If you need any more information, do let me know.
