Wireless keyboard syncs but still won't work. And Hp hardware diagnostic tool won't open just get temporary black screen. Help

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

 

Are you using the same keyboard and mouse which came with the computer?

  • Press the blue Connect button on the bottom of the mouse or keyboard and hold it down for 10 seconds. Synchronize the wireless devices as follows: Turn the computer around and find the wireless receiver on the back. Pull down on the USB receiver to unplug it from the USB slot.
