Hello.
My HP compaq Elite 8300 SFF is incompatible with Windows 11, according to Windows Update. I have not replaced any parts of the PC since it was purchased a couple of years ago. Thus I can't upgrade to Windows 11 currently.
Per Window's PC Health Check, the two reasons are:
1) TPM 2.0 must be supported and enabled on this PC. (TPM: TPM 1.2). And,
2) The processor isn't currently supported for Windows 11 (Processor: Intel Core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz).
I'm not familiar with TPM other than knowing my VPN uses this somehow, I think. So, I'm not sure what to do about this and what I could potentially damage by making any adjustments to it. If the processor isn't compatible, I'm guessing short of replacing the processor or getting a more current PC (this one is eight years old, I didn't realize it was as old as it was but it was definitely faster across the board), there isn't much I can do and I may have to rely on Windows 10 until they stop providing updates for it. I wanted to inquire either way though.
Please advise. Thank you in advance.

Hi:
You download the W11 ISO file from the link below--3rd option.
Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
I have zipped up and attached the file you need from that first link I posted, below.
Save the ISO file and the zip file I attached in the same place or folder.
Unzip the file I attached and run the file, select the ISO file you downloaded when prompted, and it will automatically upgrade to W11.

Hi:
There is nothing you can do to upgrade your PC's hardware so it can meet the W11 requirements.
I have W11 Pro running just fine on two HP 8200 Elite CMT's.
If you want to do the same, see the info at the link below...

Think carefully, before taking the risk, see the experiences of other users, see if it can be interesting, or if you can wait to have a new computer later, 100% compatible!
Windows 10 remains one of the best systems, and can be used for quite a while.
I have performed the installation with a compatible computer ..
And I can not take full advantage of the more or less interesting features, because you have to have a certain material
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications
So far, so there is nothing extraordinary about this system
So if the computer is not compatible, you have little interest in using it ..
In some cases, we can have more problem than something else (performance etc), it is better to wait until most of the bugs are solved.
And even better to have a 100% compatible computer, in order to be able to take advantage of the available features
Now, if you want to give it a try, first plan to use specialized software, and make a ghost copy of your installation.

Thank you for the reply. I'll take a look in more detail, but am upgrading the CPU's software since upgrading the PC's hardware isn't an option? Am I running Intel 7 currently, or something even least recent? I'm far from an expert, so making sure I understand what this solution should be doing.
Thanks again.

By the way, I'm trying to send another unrelated message, and the system won't let me choose any of the available options in the Information section. It also won't let you send the message unless you choose one of the options in the boxes (Windows 10 and Bios were two of the options I recall). How do I get past this to send the message? I did not have this issue with the message I sent about Windows 11, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi, @thatwdbme
You can install W11 on your PC just the way it is.
There is absolutely no upgrades you can do to the 8300 Elite to have it meet the qualifications for W11.
You need a PC with an Intel 8th gen core processor.
The Elitedesk 800 G4 SFF, which was the oldest PC in the HP Elite business desktop model series that is fully supported for W11.

Understood. I don't quite understand what the link/solution is requiring me to do; thus the followup question. I don't plan to manipulate anything until I understand better. Thank you for saying that though. I may just wait until I can upgrade to a Windows 11 PC anyway. I Iike Windows 10 just fine until they stop supporting it.
