Recently, i have been downloading new drivers from the HP website, and thus my laptop has been running quite more smoothly - for the 4 years i've owned my laptop, i've only updated through windows. After scanning my pc, i look through my drivers and it said that my BIOS was extremely out-dated and needed updating. I did so, and it went without any problems - had power and WIFI and everything. No problems. But after it finished, and was trying to restart, it just stopped. Black screen, and no elaboration. Tried everything to see if it was true that it was bricked (i.e plugging it into another screen etc)
What i am wondering is, does this really mean it's bricked? is there anything i can do to sort of "force" it to actually do anything? even now, after a while when i've tried to restart it nothing happens. Any help?

This does not look good. Was it a Microsoft update request that provided the bios file? Was it the HP Support Assitant?
Here is general help that might work Do 1,2 and the first part of 3

Also, should've mentioned this, i tried the steps and none of them seem to really do anything, except step 3 which only makes it turn on slower? (also worth mentioning that each time i boot it, the fans go haywire and the screen continues being black)

Cloud recover not available
I assume you tried bios 01.26.00 Rev.A that is dated Dec 5, 2023
Something is wrong, maybe the bios, maybe not
Please try steps 1,2 and first part of 3 as mentioned earlier. If none of those work then try the USB recover part 2 of step 3
Do not use the new bios. Instead try
use a USB that as an LED as it will blink indicating the file is being read. If this does not work then

Hello again, i tried your steps of reseting the bios through button presses. it seems to have worked, but now the pc turns on, black screen and a series of three long beeps and two short beeps. Appearently, it is a RAM issue - and it is probably the case that the ram has become loose, thus the pc cannot boot. I've managed to get it open, however haven't yet figured out how to unplug the battery before i can start to look at the RAM. I'm also very confused as to why there is something silver over the RAM? I appreciate the help.
