Hello! Yesterday, 03/10/2020, I recovered my Pavilion Desktop 590-p0044, PN 3LA79AA#ABA, SN [edit], utilizing HP Cloud Recovery Tool for Windows 10. Today, I tried running HPSA, version 8.8.24.33, a few times to gather information and install new programs/drivers. Each time I ran HPSA, it said the scan had completed and had green checkmarks after Connecting To HP Servers and Gathering Configuration Information but had gray Xs after Downloading Messages and Updates Definition, Analyzing Your System, and Preparing the Action List and no updates or articles were downloaded. Please advise what I should do next. Thank you!

Hi, @Dragon-Fur & @pammywammy :
On these newer model PC's, I have discovered that HP no longer includes drivers on the specific model support pages.
It's been that way for a year or so--maybe longer.
You have to find driver support from the base model edition of the PC, which in the case of the HP Pavilion 590-p0044, you can find the latest drivers and software from this link: HP Pavilion 590-p0000 Desktop PC series.

Regarding the HP support assistant...the only suggestion I can offer would be to download and install the latest version from the link below, if you have not done so already.
Click on the orange download button on the upper right side of the webpage.

If this is your computer:
then
There are no drivers / software listed for Windows 10.
Software and drivers for HP Pavilion 590-p0044
It is unfortunate that the HPSA does not have an error message for this particular kind of result.
The program cannot find any drivers but cannot tell you that the problem is simply that there are no drivers for your OS.
In general, you must depend on the software and drivers provided in Windows 10.
Any words of wisdom? Thanks in advance for the assist.

Thanks - that certainly makes sense.
Too bad this is not something the update software is prepared to handle. Smiling.
