I am using an HP Pavilion 27-inch All-in-One desktop.
The PC shows "No operating system found" during boot. When we tried to install a new OS, it said no hard disk was detected.
No hardware changes were made. My cousin attempted to reinstall the OS, but still no hard drive is visible during setup.
Can someone help confirm if this is a storage or motherboard issue?
Also, the OS dropdown on the support form is not clickable. Is this normal?

Hi @LM270WF8,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching out, and I completely understand how concerning it must be when your HP Pavilion 27-inch All-in-One suddenly reports “No operating system found”, and even more so when no hard drive appears during OS installation.
Please try to run a hardware test on the PC and let us know the result to help you better.
Extensive Test -
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
