I'm trying to help my mother with her computer.:womanfrustrated:
 I ran a scan on her hard drives and the hard drvie optimized dst check failed. The Failure ID is OGFB6C-000836-9XJ2XA-615903. Can anyone tell me where I go from here? Do I need to get her a new hard drive, ect??? Thank you.

Jenna, welcome to the forum.

 

I believe that the hard drive has failed.  Here is the Troubleshooting section for the hard drive.  I suggest following the guide on testing it.  If it shows that it has failed, your only option is to replace it.  Here is a guide to help you replace it.  You should assure that the new hard drive is the same size or larger than the existing one.
