I believe my hard drive got compromised. I received a virus now computer won’t boot?  What can I do to fix it

Sorry, so for this case, you will either have to perform a clean install of the operating system or replace the storage drive with a new one and then install Windows.

Hello @H2oson .
Maybe it can be a mechanical or logical failure problem, so first to make sure that it is not what I say and that it is a virus problem, then you must perform a hardware scan, so to do this, turn on your computer and quickly press the f2 key.

It didn’t do anything. When I turn on my computer I get a black screen with 

c:windows\ststem32>

You have already tried to restore Windows?, to do so, press the f11 key when turning on the computer to start the recovery.
