HP Envy 27

My hard drive crashed.  I have replaced the hard drive but am asking if HP can provide me with Windows 10.  I never created a recovery disk. I can supply the Serial number of the machine.

I looked at: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-27-inch-Displays/7274710

but HP Support does not offer a download of Windows 10.

However, see: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

for a free download of Windows 10.

When installing it, you will be prompted to enter the 25-character product-key.

Click "I do not have one".

Windows will complete the installation.

It will also "call home" and automatically will "activate" -- because Microsoft knows that you previously were running Windows 10.
