Hello i have a problem with bios recovery it is corrupt and have tried to restore it back

i updated my bios and then it said it was corrupt now my pc wont come on i have held windows logo +b and start hold for 3 seconds and kept hold of windows logo +b but nothing happens any help would be grateful thank you

Make a USB BIOS recovery flash drive with the latest BIOS update for your motherboard's SSID.

After you create the USB BIOS recovery drive, follow the instructions that show up after the USB recovery drive has been successfully created.

This should be what you see because I just used my PC to create the BIOS recovery drive with the BIOS file link I posted.

1. Power off the device to be recovered.

2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.

3. Power on the device.

4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.

Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

You're very welcome.

I highly doubt that clearing the CMOS would fix the problem.

All you need to do is to get a USB flash drive and download and run the BIOS file I attached using another PC.

The file will run, and the only option you will have will be to create a bootable USB recovery drive.

After the recovery drive has been successfully created (it took about a minute or so on my Dell PC), make sure your corrupted BIOS PC is turned off, then just plug the flash drive into the PC with the corrupted BIOS, power it on, and supposedly it will automatically detect the flash drive and begin to recover the BIOS.  

No need to press any keys such as windows logo +b, etc.

Sounds too easy to be true.

Hello Paul i was moving my pc and it slipped out of my hand now the screen is pixeled so i need to get new screen

do you know if i can buy one

i tried the download to another pc then put onto usb but it wouldn,t wouldn,t start any ideas why thank you for all your help

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know where you can buy a new screen, but if you weren't able to recover the BIOS, you will be throwing good money after bad by replacing the screen.

The parts list for your PC indicates that this is the LCD panel part number and description:

L01814-L72

The display panel is not available from HP.

Assuming you followed the instructions to create the recovery drive and it didn't work, I don't have any other ideas for you to try.

Someone else made the mistake of just copying and pasting the exe file download to a USB flash drive and that is not how it is done.

Hello Paul just letting you know I got the bios into pc and it’s booting up all I need is a new screen 😂😂 if I can find one even a one like I have that’s faulty and someone selling for parts thank you for all your help
