Hello, I have a 2007 Compaq Presario Desktop Computer and for some reason after swapping the RAM from two 512MB RAM sticks (1GB) to two 2GB RAM sticks (4GB) The recovery image that once worked doesn't anymore. Could someone please help me to find an official method which will allow me to restore my PC back to it's original state?

Can you temporarily remove both new sticks, and connect the original sticks, and then try the restore?
Given the age (2007) of the computer, will it support more than 3GB of RAM? 4GB may be "too much" for it.
