My computer is working fine. I just need to know how to open the outer metal case of my HP Slim Desktop model 290-a0036 PC.

A music CD that was being copied onto an external hard drive slipped off the spindle as it was being removed, and is now stuck inside.

Normally, I would remove a couple of screws and it would slip right off, but this model does not appear to have any.  Any help you can

provide would be appreciated. TIA.

Hi:

HP has a service guide for your PC.

Upgrading and Servicing Guide (EMEA with shipping label) (hp.com)

You have to decipher what the manual is showing in the illustrations.

HP also has this service teardown video for a similar model to yours, which hopefully will be of help.
