How do I update my BIOS? HP ProDesk G1 SFF

How do I find the bios update and install it? My BIOS is from 2013 and would like to update it. Couldn't get it to work. https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-prodesk-600-g1-small-form-factor-pc/5387447

Any help would be appreciated. Also a step by step process would be appreciated also as I have never flashed a BIOS before

The install instructions seem too simple, but....

1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions (Windows Only).

If in doubt please ask.

I installed it and followed the instructions accepted the agreement and etc. Restarted my PC and no dice.  I don't think I flashed the BIOS or something. I have never done this before so yeah

Still no luck. I disabled my anti viruses and installed it again. Overwrited the file and it never prompted me to restart and automatically opened a link to "Bios flash update"

Take the hint, and stop trying.

Unless your research shows a "need" to update your BIOS, let sleeping dogs lie.

Harsh words, but true, because it's too easy to turn your computer into a boat-anchor.
