Hello, I have an issue with my HP Pavilion Desktop. Upon turning it on, it displays the time and wallpaper. However, after pressing "enter" to input my PIN, it gets stuck on a blurry screen with the wallpaper. Only accessibility and power options appear at the bottom right. I've tried restarting and holding the off button, but it persists. Are there any key binds I can use to resolve this? It's an older desktop, recently upgraded, and I need to transfer files to my new one. Your recommendations are crucial as there are important files at stake. The problem began after unplugging it to connect my new desktop.

Hi @StarrrKat
I have never seen a PC behave this way in 30 plus years of computing.
I am guessing the old PC has a HDD. I would remove the HDD. Connect the HDD to a USB to SATA adapter. Amazon has some 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch combo adapters if the old PC has a 2.5 inch SATA SSD.
Connect the drive using the adapter to a USB 3 port on the new PC.
The new PC should mount the old drive. You can now move data from the old drive to the new Desktop.
