How do I report a fraud - I contacted hp.com and was redirected to a company that claimed to be HP support. They claimed my computer was infected, etc. and wanted to sign me up for technical service. I want HP to know about this company and how they were able to direct me to them when I accessed hp.com. It's impossible to speak to anyone at HP.

HP can do nothing about this, as these are Scammers that are attempting to get money from folks under false pretenses.
You did the right thing to avoid paying them, but HP has neither the money or human resources to go after such folks.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Thanks for your reply. But how does a scammer link in to HP when I access HP.com? I don't believe HP can do nothing about it. HP chooses to do nothing because it doesn't bring in money. The same is true of Amazon from personal experience. The least HP can do is report it to the FTC, but instead HP simply refers you to the community so you can shed tears with other sufferers.

I made a request to you, if you do not answer, it is certain that it will not lead to anything
If you followed the procedure here
So no there must be no fraud
