Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

 

I just purchased an used Elitedesk 800 G4 with Windows 11 preloaded. For safety, I would like make sure it isn't compromised. The BIOS was just updated to the latest June 2024 version. Next up the Operating System. 

 

May I know how can I perform a new clean install of Windows 11 Pro please?

Hi:

 

You can use the HP cloud recovery client utility to reinstall Windows the drivers and the software that originally came with the PC.

 

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

 

HP Business PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Client in Windows 11 and Windows 10 | HP® Support

 

Here's the link to the software download:

 

HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Small Form Factor PC Software and Driver Details

 

Since the PC's originally came with W10 from HP, if the utility doesn't give you the option to install W11, and you end up with W10, you can click on the Blue W11 Installation Assistant button (first option) at the link below to upgrade back to W11.
