@PKundu, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP slim desktop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand that your HP Slim Desktop PC SO1-PF2000i is repeatedly restarting and displaying the CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED stop code. I'd be happy to assist you with troubleshooting this issue.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Shut down the PC completely.
  2. Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, external hard drives, etc.).
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
  4. Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
  5. Reconnect the power cable and try turning the PC back on.

Boot into Safe Mode

If the issue persists, try booting into Safe Mode:

  1. Turn on your PC and force shut it down by holding the Power button as soon as the HP logo appears. Repeat this 3 times until the Windows Recovery Environment appears.
  2. Select Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  3. Once restarted, press 4 or F4 to enter Safe Mode.
  4. Check if the PC runs normally in Safe Mode. If it does, the issue may be caused by a recently installed program or driver.

Run Startup Repair

  1. In the Windows Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.
  2. Let Windows attempt to fix any startup issues.

Let me know if it helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
