An HP update I received failed to install:  Hewlett-Packard - USB - 2/15/2017 12:00:00 AM - 40.11.1109.1746  Download size: 31.3 MB

 

Error: 800F020B   "Windows encountered an unknown error"

 

Hello.  Could someone give me some information on this failed update.  What does it do?  How important is it?  Is there a way to download and install it?  Thanks.

You PC was came to market in 2009.

 

An HP Support Assistant (HPSA) update created in 2015 would not be possible for your PC. HP only provides updates for maybe four or five years after initial release of the product at the most.

 

I would ignore the update. Remove the update from HPSA to stop seeing it again.
