My Ethernet connection completely failed on my Omen PC. I had to do a system reset while keeping my files. After the reset Windows told me to activate the s/w. When I did this it said the product key on the machine, the original that was loaded at HP, was not the right key even though it matched the original key. Microsoft was on the phone with me for awhile tonight and told me I'd need to contact HP as you would have that info, even though Windows OS didn't like the original number. I'm quite confused and tired.
I ran ShowKeyPlus, and it showed the same key that's in my PC, that won't activate. It was for Windows 10 RTM core OEM:DM. I currently have Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems.
