Its a Compaq Persario 5010, 775 socket t running duel core 3.47ghz with 4gb sys mem the bios will not save to the chip. I was thinking that if i flash with a newer bios it might save as keeps resetting to default. What i was really looking for is bios 5.06 or 5.08 with xp support for 32 bit.  bios id is 15-Q99 011020. Im actually trying to build a vintage machine to run win XP for 32 bit games. I was also wondering where i might download a clean copy of win XP as i have a currupted fs on my copy, i do have a key code that i have just purchased from a vender. i think the bios is more important, as i found for vista and win 7 but nothing available for XP. i do have a copy of win 7 but not sure if it will play the material i want to play. the vintage machine will not be online as i am only going to use for the older games. Thank you for looking into this for me
