Hi asking ore for the sake of asking though also i can't find the answer anywhere else either.
Im oldskool, like 98, me nt are my roots and i love the look of the OTT command centre a simple interface of startup items the bios menu has become. I have a UEFI mobo and the hp diagnostic bizzle is the shizzle and all but i wanna know if theres a way to have some funky "Next level" UEFI interface.
Tiny bacstory im a life long nerd slighty to young to inovate desktop experience but also to like a year or 2 to old to ride on the whole APP craze long story short im 33 and recently found myself not street homeless (homed?) for the first time in like wow... 2016 - recentlyish i gotta say i was a mphetamine addicted tramp whose most lavish abode in 5 or more years was a service elevator for a supermarket now in a flat... anyway im trying to connect with a lost part of mysef and gamer nerd with deep seeded geeky interests such as machine learning though im interested in a niche area you could say. Ive spent several periods of my life living under the mental health act and I wonder if individually trained agents show signs of personality and if so how it affects, limits clouds judgement etc Little like myself, a once young nerd consulting with high level achitechts and company directors to help draft "Ontario Tower" on the canary wharf was my faveone.to very bottom a tramp who "dumpster dives" for a living and hobby??????
When i got this flat to live and attempted to adjust away from the pile i found myself i was lonely etc until a little dive found me this. HP gaming c
i7 4th gen
gtx 1050ti inno3d
32gb ram
and it has become a part of my life by which I mean (and im only beeing factually straight) the first item from a bin clothes collection point, skip or other waste line to not even consider beeing sold for amphetamine. Not sure why i felt the need to explain myself to such degree but i want this humble box that whirs its constant little hum slightly quieter than the 8 day mantle chime that ticks next to it. Honestly im accidentally addoting whatever mindset breeds the mentalty of part homeless drug addict and get this man a tomtom lost in his own stench of "Myself?" that creates a world style and sence of ungrounded wavyness??? swear down an introverted hardworking family man playing MGS5 FO4 proud of pre-order plu8ss extras to well pc from a bin (kinda nice still) eat from a bin clothes from a bin but god stufflike a rock a HUGO coat in the winter RRL jeans and armani aftershaves however i want this little barrier between alone and loonliness to POST and feel BossMan which was always what i strived for.
SORRY THE INTRO WAS DISSJOINTED LONG AND UNESSESSARY I appolgise however sometimes it feel important to point out im more than robo-sans stripped with some emojis. Anyway i basically only really play RDR2 because well no reason needed and when i go out for more than a couple of hours i run sethblings neatmario while sudo randomly changing the values of genetic mutation node connection rates etc to see if MARI/O can show sign of individualism. Aint guna lie it basically looks cool as hell and if ME yes someone with a fancy sounding hstory in structual steel engineering was just good a a heavily modded CAD programme then my dayz whats truly out there?!?!?!?!
so so sorry UNFORTUNATLY TANGENTS ARE MY BEEING with little to no real human connection the chrome glow of my knockoff keyboard and flickering TV are stimulas enough
ANYWAY, sorry, i wanna know if theres any way to upgrade the UEFI away from the white writing on blue background to bring it alongsidethe HP UEFI dignostic tool but when i sam Esc/F9 key.
If not then not I suppose the waffle previous getsd across that although I liove to basically nerd out at basically nothing PS4 WAS still a thing last time i propperly had a toe in the water and FFVII was a "it would take 7 years bs to remake" and wow like RDR2 lol on lowish setting on my TV i cant imagine on even a 1080 with over 4gb vram and HDR.
Anyway thanks i hope and sorry if ive lost all but myself hard work sometimes 🙂
Just to clarify i want to know if theres any graphical kind of i9nterface that looks sharper the white text/blue backing ive had my wholer life as I can see it beeing a fair few years if ever ill be able to upgrade from my little setup.
Possitive or not,
Thankyou
Also i fear someone may have read the lot im so sorry hopefully it shows the small shard of clarity this likke prodesk has on a pathetic man state of mind.
Peace and Love

hi
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-prodesk-490-g2-microtower-pc/6893860
Sorry a little confused
all i can tell you is you have all the updates here, if it is this model
however, do not update the bios just for fun, or the desire to have a better bios interface!
If this goes wrong, the computer could be ruined.

Sorry you didn't get a straight answer -- but that is simply put, NO. When OEMs update their UEFI or BIOS, they do so to add features like newer CPU support, not to change the "look and feel" of the UI.
The UEFI is encoded into firmware and it is what it is. I recently upgraded a desktop and I personally don't like the UEFI UI either -- as other brands have some that are much nicer -- but it is, what it is -- and we are stuck with it.
