Hi @ImJinxNow,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with your user profile on your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop. This error typically occurs when Windows encounters a problem loading your user profile. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Restart Your Computer: Sometimes a simple restart can fix temporary issues. If you haven't already, try restarting your computer and see if the problem persists.

Boot into Safe Mode: Try booting your computer into Safe Mode. Safe Mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers, allowing you to troubleshoot issues. Here's how to do it:

  • Restart your computer.
  • As soon as your computer starts booting, repeatedly press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
  • Select "Safe Mode" from the list and press Enter.

Use System Restore: If you recently installed new software or drivers, or if the issue started after a recent Windows update, you can try using System Restore to revert your computer to a previous state when it was working fine. Here's how:

  • Boot into Safe Mode (as described above).
  • Press the Windows key, type "System Restore," and press Enter.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a previous restore point.

Create a New User Account: If the above steps don't work, you can try creating a new user account and see if you can log in using that account. Here's how:

  • Boot into Safe Mode (as described above).
  • Press the Windows key, type "Control Panel," and press Enter.
  • In Control Panel, click on "User Accounts," then "Manage another account."
  • Click on "Add a new user in PC settings" and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new user account.
  • Restart your computer and try logging in with the newly created account.

Check for Disk Errors: It's possible that your hard drive may have errors. You can use the built-in Windows tool called "Check Disk" to scan and repair disk errors. Here's how:

  • Press the Windows key, type "cmd," right-click on "Command Prompt," and select "Run as administrator."
  • In the Command Prompt window, type chkdsk /f /r and press Enter.
  • You'll be prompted to schedule the disk check for the next restart. Type Y and press Enter.
  • Restart your computer and let the disk check process complete.

Reinstall Windows: If none of the above solutions work, you may need to reinstall Windows. Make sure to back up any important files before doing so, as reinstalling Windows will erase all data on your system drive.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
