Cannot connect to search engine after set up

click the Start button and type Edge in the search window the click on Microsoft Edge and see if opens and stays open.

 

If it works then the Edge icon on the taskbar is just a broken link.

Right click on it and remove it, then search again for Edge but instead of clicking it, right click it and choose Pin to the Taskbar.

Under settings I pushed the reset button for edge and now it is working.  Thanks for replies.

Now I would like to know if I can import word files from my HP laptop to my new HP desktop
