My Keyboard and Mouse stop working (actually go dark) after booting into Windows 11 advanced recovery options.    I am using a USB, wired Keyboard and Mouse.

Tried plugging them into the two black USB 2.0 ports on the back--- did not work.

I can not access UEFI at boot, I only have access to BIOS.  The BIOS does not have any Legacy boot (BIOS mode) or Legacy USB Support.

Also---I have Windows Pro, with all updates.

Any ideas how to make this work?

How do I gain access to the UEFI?

Thanks....  I did not know about that issue and my search on line and with ChatGPT did not suggest it as a problem.    I got the update and was able to have Mouse/Keyboard access in the Advanced Options in Windows 11.

Question.... Does this Desktop (hp pavilion tg01-2003w ) have a UEFI.  I can only get to a very basic BIOS.

Greetings @Gar-Dog

My pleasure.

I would think your PC is a UEFI system since you are running W11 Pro.

Yes, HP provides limited BIOS/UEFI options.
