Can I get my laptop's specifications by using its serial number?

@Fennyjuma -- You need both the product-ID and the serial-number, to get the "as-shipped-from-the-factory" specifications, before accessing http://Support.HP.COM

more exactly, your P/n product number, will probably give you the model..
The serial number S/N, it will bring you more warranty support information, if no longer valid

You gave an answer, simple and incomplete

the user does not need both to access the product page

the serial number S/n can be given then to have the status of guarantee
The exact answer is given in the product identification link
no need to answer that !
