Hi @Princelatoy1

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If you don’t have access to your Microsoft account and need to reset your PIN on your HP desktop, here’s what you can try:

1. Sign In Using a Password

If you’ve forgotten your PIN but remember your password, you can select the "Sign-in options" link on the login screen.

Choose the option to use your password instead of the PIN.

2. Reset Your Microsoft Account Password

To regain access to your Microsoft account:

Visit the Microsoft password reset page. Recover your account

Follow the steps to verify your identity and reset your password.

Once your password is reset, you can log in and set a new PIN.

3. Switch to a Local Account (if applicable)

If you’re unable to access your Microsoft account and don’t want to reset your password:

Boot into Safe Mode:

Restart your PC and press F8 or repeatedly press Shift + F8 during boot to access the Advanced Options menu.

Choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

Open the Command Prompt and create a new local user:

Type net user NewUsername NewPassword /add and press Enter.

Replace NewUsername and NewPassword with your desired values.

Restart the computer and log in with the new local account.

You can now reset the PIN or create a new one.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
