Way ahead of you. I've seen and replaced more solid state hard drives then I ever did with the normal sata hard drives. Dell, mysteriously bit locker locks up your hard drive. It's microsofts fault. It's excuses. A bios update shouldn't brick a computer. If you have it plugged in, not saying your charger is under rated, battery was junk, new battery, waited till fully charged,...

Dropped the 99 blazer off for a oil change. Check the exhaust. You need to worry about the right locked up caliper, that was replaced in 2019. Average customer is screwed. They're not going to strip down the computer, and go after the mother board. Have a funny feeling  the current bios has bricked more than the one I'm working on. $13 for a new battery, $19 for a new mother board that shouldn't have happened, it's the time idiots like us put in to save something that no one is willing too. No it won't jump to 11, can't tell you till I get it working again, not my first dance. Nothing is built to last any more, but if manufactures updates brick it, out of warranty or not, you should stand behind your product. Caliper, 10 year warranty, we have no record. Same story, same dance.
