@Huw141, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To turn your microphone on or off on the HP ENVY x360 - 15-ds0000na, you can use the mute microphone function key, usually indicated with a microphone icon on your keyboard. Here’s how you can do it:

Locate the Microphone Mute Key:

  • Look at the function keys on your keyboard (F1 through F12).
  • Identify the key with a microphone icon on it. This might vary depending on your specific keyboard layout, but it's generally located in the top row.

Toggle the Microphone:

  • Press the microphone function key to mute the microphone. Typically, there will be a light indicator when the microphone is muted.
  • Press the same key again to unmute and activate the microphone.

Using Settings:

  • You can also control the microphone through the Windows settings by going to Settings > System > Sound.
  • Under the "Input" section, you can see the device properties for your microphone and can manage the microphone settings.
