I been trying to play MW4 Cod for the past two days, i completed their steps for tpm and secure boot to be enabled.
My bios is the highest it can be and i tried countless attempts to fix this issue. I tried reinstalling windows, finding any bios updates i was missing, updating windows and all my drivers, and lastly verified the integrity files on steam. I recently just submitted a report to activision and don’t know when they will reach back to me.

Hi @Tentorian
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand your concern , don’t worry let me check and help you with this.
To better understand the issue, could you kinldy let me know if you have already contacted HP Support or Activision Support regarding this problem before? If so, were any additional troubleshooting steps or findings shared with you?
In the meantime, I recommend reviewing the guidance discussed in the HP Community thread below, as it relates to BIOS requirements and Call of Duty/Warzone compatibility on HP systems: BIOS Update Required for Call of Duty Warzone - HP OMEN 875
Based on your post, also kindly confirm:
- What exact error message do you receive when launching MW4/Call of Duty?
- Does the game fail to launch, crash on startup, or report that Secure Boot/TPM is not enabled?
- Have you verified in the BIOS that both TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot remain enabled after the Windows reinstallation?
The discussion in BIOS Update Required for Call of Duty Warzone - HP OMEN 875 Click here contains additional information that may help verify whether your system firmware meets the game's requirements.
I hope this helps.

It shows the issues as I launch fully into the game. “Bios Update Firmware”
i already refunded and bought on playstation but still want to known if this would be an issue in the future and i would have to buy a new motherboard and upgrade to new pc. For future games.
i can play the campaign on MW4 fine but im unable to play multiplayer or dmz mode. The game won’t allow people even with the highest bios firmware to their motherboard to play.

Hi @Tentorian,
Your system can successfully run the MW4 campaign, while only Multiplayer and DMZ modes are being blocked with the "BIOS Update Firmware" message.
This may indicate a game-side security or compatibility check related to TPM, Secure Boot, firmware validation, or anti-cheat requirements rather than a complete motherboard failure.
It's encouraging that the system is otherwise functioning normally, and at this stage, there is nothing to suggest that you need to replace your motherboard or purchase a new PC solely because of this issue.
Since you have already reinstalled Windows and confirmed the issue persists, I recommend continuing to monitor for future BIOS updates released on the HP support website for your model, as firmware updates may include compatibility improvements for newer games and security requirements.
As the game has already been refunded, you may also wish to stay in contact with us regarding any updates or firmware validation requirements.
If you need any more help or just want to say hi, we're here for you - just a message away!
Regards,
Deep_World
