If you are experiencing microphone issues on Google Meet with your HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a, follow these steps:
Check Microphone Connection:
- Ensure that your microphone is properly plugged into the microphone port of your PC.
Microphone Settings in Windows:
- Click on the Start menu and type “Sound settings”, then press Enter.
- Under "Choose your input device", make sure your microphone is selected.
- Test the microphone by speaking into it and checking the input level.
Privacy Settings:
- Go to Start menu > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Ensure that the toggle switch under "Microphone access" is turned on.
- Ensure "Allow apps to access your microphone" is turned on.
- Check that Google Chrome has permission to use the microphone.
Browser Settings:
- Open Google Chrome and go to the three-dot menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings.
- Under Permissions, click on Microphone and allow Google Meet (meet.google.com) to access your microphone.
Google Meet Settings:
- After joining a meeting, click on the three dots in the bottom right corner and select Settings.
- Go to the Audio tab and make sure the correct microphone is selected.
Update Drivers:
- Visit HP's Driver Page and ensure that all your audio drivers are up to date.
Troubleshoot Audio Problems:
- Go to Start menu > Settings > System > Sound.
- Scroll down to the "Troubleshoot" button under the "Input" section and follow the on-screen instructions.
Restart Your Computer:
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve any temporary issues. Try restarting your PC and testing the microphone again in Google Meet.
