HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg0000 (9WF74AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had restarted my laptop and all of my files that were on my laptop are now missing. I have lost everything. Are they really gone forever? How do I get them back? I will fail this semester without them.

First look in the trashbin.

They may be saved in OneDrive as the default is Microsoft enables OneDrive on every update to windows.

Log into OneDrive online and see if they are in the "cloud". If you do not have a OneDrive account then register for it and look for the files I discovered all type of c**p that was in OneDrive the first time I registered for it.

Is is also possible they were accidently moved.  If so, then

select the C drive and search for any file that you remember the name of

"The computer ate my homework" will get sympathy but is no excuse.

@matthew70

You said you "restarted" your PC -- but that can mean almost anything!

Did you RESET it, instead of Restarting it, and if so, WHAT were the steps you followed?
