Missing PCI Serial Port

Simple question: why do you "need" it?  Who says so?

More-complicated questions:

#1: is your computer running perfectly fine without a device-driver for this "unknown" hardware?

#2: will you ever use the device, if a device-driver is installed?

#3: how will you use the device?

#4: do you have a "home" computer, with maybe a "home" network, or is your computer within an office environment, where there is a definite need for other computers on that office network to access your computer?  If the latter, is there an IT Specialist in your office that can justify the need to use the device, and to help you configure and use it?

Yes, a few months ago, HP re-did their web-site.
