Greetings @Kr138

Welcome back to the Forum.

Did you run extensive HP diagnostics?

I have seen quite a few instances where the system disk has failed.

The operating system disk failure results in the startup error you are seeing: (failed to read delta log).

Hi bill,

Thank you for getting back to me. I have just run the system extensive test and all came back as passed.

Thanks

Greetings @Kr138

My pleasure.

Thanks for the additional information.

I've done some web searches using the error you are seeing and can't find anything useful. I have also never encountered this error.

I am at a loss on providing a fix which will preserve data on the system drive.

Sadly, you may have to back up data on the x360 PC. Then do a HP Cloud Recovery. The HP Cloud Recovery tool is available at the Microsoft Store.

Backing up data requires removing the system drive. Now connect the drive to a different PC to back up data. Or use a Linux Live USB boot stick to get access to the Windows drive to copy data.

You will have a problem if the W11 installation is using BitLocker and you don't have the BitLocker Recovery key.

You may be in a possible no win data recovery situation if BitLocker is enabled.

Regards
