Desktop restarts without warning

Welcome to HP Support Community
 

I suggest you run an Extensive Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality and let me know if the Desktop restarts during the Test

 

- Shut down the Desktop completely
- Turn it back on, then tap the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu screen is displayed.
- Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
- Click System Tests, then click Extensive Test.
 

Note: The Test might take few hours but it is an automated test and you can just let it run
