HP Stream 14-cb164wm Laptop PC

I just bought a new lg monitor for work. it worked fine the last 5 days . Today it did some weird virus looking glitch and now it won't connect with the HDMI and I can't control the brightness of the screen

Microsoft released two updates to windows yesterday (11/21/2024)

Bring up the device manager and see if you can roll back any update to the video driver.

 

if you suspect a problem with the monitor, then connect to some other device like a tv or game console to test.

How do i find my device name?

I believe you have the Intel CPU and UHD graphics

Enter "device manager" in the windows search bar and select display adapters as shown in one of the picture earlier.

Where the picture shows AMD you should have Intel.

Click properties and see if you can roll back the driver.

 

Alternately, Intel also has a support assistant for drivers

Let me know what you find out.
