HP ENVY Desktop PC TPE01-3000i (4M0M1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I'm a video editor/photgrapher, I've used Grass Valley EDIUS editing software for the last 10-12yrs;  I recently purchased

EDIUS X PRO for editing at home. I was told that this HP ENVY would be fully capable of handling the needs of this software

but unfortunately that wasn't entirely accurate. it works with the basic program fine but anytime I try to use the included

3D grahics transitions/motion graphics I lose video on the monitors. With research, I've discovered in order to use any of those

great features I must have a Nvidia Graphics Card. I've looked inside the tower and there's one slot that looks like it will take an

additional graphics card, it would be very tight as far as space but appears to be doable but my other concern is that the power supply maximum output is 310watts, any suggestions on how to make this work?

The gtx-1030 has CUDA 6.1 and OpenCl 3.0

 and the recommended system power supply is 200 watts which fits your power supply budget

However, it (the one I listed) only has 2gb of  memory.  What does your software recommend?

HP makes some low power NVidia board.  Possibly @NonSequitur777 knows where to find them or can make a better recommendation. I was unable to find any recommend boards for your model.

@OCDavetv,

Yes, I think I can help you as per @BeemerBiker.

Looking at your HP ENVY Desktop PC TE01-3000i (4M0M1AV) -mind you: TE01, as verified here: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=4M0M1AV, I responded to a similar question here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Upgrade-Video-Card-for-HP-ENVY-....

In other words, depending on your program's GPU's graphics requirements, you may have to replace the lackluster 310-watt power supply and either choose a 400-watt or 500-watt alternative power supply as per my aforementioned link.

Both alternate power supplies are pricey, but wait, glad tidings are here: I got you covered.

This low-power low-profile graphics card: Amazon.com: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC Low Profile 4G Graphics Card, Low Profile Design, 4GB 12..., will do with your 310-watt power supply, and is likely to fit in your PC case as well.

Hope this was helpful.
