It's a toshiba nvme drive.

That is Intel Optane controller feature, it doesn't care what NVMe drive it is. Stop the Intel Optane controller.

Everything will flow.

I also have a HP EliteDesk 800 G1 DM, W10.  running BIOS L04 v02.31.

It also do not see the NVMe SSD (WD Black PCIe, WES256G1X0C-00ENX0) in BIOS, and cannot configure to boot from it.  However, I do see this NVMe device in Win10, and it can be used as a data drive.

boot up from the NVMe not supported... does this mean the architecture of the system board does not allow boot from NVME?  or we just need to be patient for future BIOS update for NVME boot support?

Thanks!

Back in 2014 and earlier, it is by design, NVMe boot is not native supported on 800 G1 DM, only PCIe(former technique of NVMe) native boot is supported.

I don't think NVMe native boot will not be added to BIOS settings as product design is done.

Everything will flow.

Czy istnieje bios dostępne w celu obsługi startu NVMe w HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF?
A może jakieś instrukcje, jak zrobić to sam, używając UEFITool lub innego narzędzia.

Hi Kim,

Could you please please help me with more details to this step? I have the exact same problem, (HP Elitedesk 800 G1 tower) and I have windows 10, and trying to boot / make use of my new drive. Would appreciate any help 🙂

These steps are a little confusing to me, but I would like to try it. Could you provide more step / step details?

Also will this make the computer much faster than the HDD that's in it? or would it be better to just get a SATA type fast ssd, and return my NVME / adapter in my PCIe port.

Thanks

2xSSD_RAID0 i po problemie. Mają nas gdzieś.  Po prostu trzeba zmienić sprzęt.

Próbowałem z win10 boot z pendrive i same problemy.  Na RAID_0 chodzi bez problemów.
