I am getting an error on the PCI simple communication controller and need the update for Hardware ID PCI/Ven_14f1&dev_0f20&subsys_000c14f1&rev_00

I think this is a very old machine which use Nvidia chipset. Please download driver from the following link and install to your machine

Are you sure that is the correct hardware ID for the modem device missing the driver?
The closest hardware ID I see for the modem to what you posted is this one:
PCI\VEN_14F1&DEV_2F20&SUBSYS_200C14F1
If your modem (PCI Simple Comms Controller) has the hardware ID that I posted, you can use the driver I zipped up and attached below.
You will have to manually install the driver as follows...
Download and unzip the file I attached to its folder.
Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager, click on the PCI Simple Communications Controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
