Hello,
So I've spent over 1 year now trying to get everything sort of right, lurking both HPs and AMDs forum aswell as thousands of google searches. But now I figured I can just ask you guys myself, what could go wrong?

What I'm trying to accomplish:

                      - Get the CORRECT video card driver/ (drivers?)

                      - Play Heroes of the storm with a steady fps above 50 WITHOUT dipping down to 20 fps every 20 seconds.                               Ofcourse with the lowest settings possible. This used to be very possible.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I suppose a big part of why I cant seem to get this right is, that I dont really know what the Device manager should look like or which drivers are for me. Dont wanna be rude but the description you give for every driver cant be more generic and tell you nothing. like, giving me an option of 10 different AMD drivers when your only supposed to have 1? or should I have more than one? I dont know, you never tell.

Doing a factory reset with Recovery Manager and leaving all the updates to HP Support assistant and Windows update is kind of where im currently at. Allthough after doing a factory reset i end up on windows version 1511 and windows update cant find anything to update.

I Usually just use HPs link to Microsofts website which lets you download their latest version manually. But I'm thinking maybe that is a bad idea since I've done that 1000 times by now and maybe it might be better to stay here with the 1511?

Either way, I will provide some Gyazos of what i think might be relevant and then perhaps you guys will know if the drivers are correct or find anything that seem wrong.

This post is starting to look like a mess so i kind of want to end it here, but I have most likely forgot to mention alot so keep that in mind.
Ah ye, the AMD catalyst control center is VERY, VERY laggy if that information is any help 😄
Also please assume that I have done atleast semi-proper reasearch into this, its been 1 year afterall.
And If I see another "helpful" AMD link that directs me to their regular https://www.amd.com/en/support site i might flip some **bleep**.

Thanks in advance and.. good luck? 🙂

@Andreasdar Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are looking for the correct drivers for your graphics card.

I would suggest you install the AMD Driver Auto-Detect Tool. It will install the latest drivers.

https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-131

(HP does not recommend upgrades as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)

Also, please refer to the below link to  Switchable Graphics on Notebooks Configured with Intel and ATI GPUs.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03048374

let me know how that pans out,

And the answer to the above question will help me, help you!

Keep me posted, and if any of the above questionnaires helped resolve the issue,

Mark this post as an "Accepted Solution".
Good luck.

I thought my hardware would only work correctly with YOUR drivers, as advertised, right? Not only that u want me to use their auto detect tool which afaik doesn't install a full driver package for you.

Im so disapointed, I even stated right out that i would flip afew bleeperinos if i see a link to www.amd.com/support and yet you do it,  u can have some kudos for renaming it ....

You did realize im using a desktop and not a laptop right?, forwarding me to their Laptop GPU guide?  Im going insane

Hold up, did i missinterpret  you?
Did you look through all my screenshots and concluded that everything is infact as its supposed to be? And im just destined to lagg? god i hate this so much. xoxo gg

@Andreasdar

 I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this, they should be able to resolve this for you.

Have a great day!

Thanks!
