Dear fellow's, i have bougt a new HP desktop whith 1 TB hard drive. But strangely the C drive is round 130 GB.  The rest of the GB are other data drives. This is not big enough for installing programs and i found it a bit  strange. Please i need a little help.

You can install programs on either drive, just browse and select the preferred storage location during installation. It doesn't have to be in the Program Files folder.

The SSD will have better performance, so maybe prioritize the programs you use the most and install those there, then install others on the HDD. Especially if you're using any kind of resource-heavy applications like for video editing or gaming, install those on the SSD.

Make sure to store all your media files (photos, music, videos, etc) on the HDD so they don't take up space on the SSD -- the higher performance won't really make a difference when accessing these.

Is it possible you're looking at the SSD rather than the HDD? It's common for computers these days to have a solid-state drive in addition to the regular hard drive, often it's a 128GB or 256GB SSD with a 1TB HDD.

What's the exact model number of your computer?

Thanks Pro, i think your right. This is the machine:  HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p031nd. Yes,there is a SSD drive. But, i'm using a lot of (big)programs. 128 GB is not enough i think.  Wher are the programs then installed.
