I am trying to install Windows 11 on a new SSD. I plugged in the SSD (unplugged the HDD) and turned on the PC with a Windows 11 USB installed. When it comes to the time to choose a hard drive for installation, the SSD is not there.

In BIOS, the SSD is recognized, and when I booted up the computer from the HDD, the device manager recognizes the SSD, though it isn't showing in windows explorer.

I read that I need to load Intel Rapid Technology Storage Drivers onto a USB and use those during install to recognize the SSD, so I downloaded and extracted the ones from the HP website, but they did not seem to help. Maybe because they are for Windows 10? Is there a way to figure out which driver is the correct one to use during installation?

How can I have Windows 11 Installation recognize the new SSD?
